I am Batwoman, hear me roar

There's a new Batwoman coming to Gotham City in the upcoming weeks of 52. Much like the old dead Batwoman, this one's name is Kathy Kane and she's a zillionaire. Unlike the old one, this Batwoman doesn't have a crush on Bruce Wayne.

    banjo bonanza

Did you know that the banjo is one of very few musical instruments invented in these here United States? Check out this segment of The Late Show with David Letterman featuring a group called Men with Banjos Who Know How to Use Them featuring a very familiar and funny face sitting in. Along with some hardcore banjo pickin' by Earl Scruggs and a piano solo by Paul Schafer that's really fantastic.

    spot the trend

The graph above is a comparison of the search volume for five different super-heroes. Nightwing, Firestorm, Iron Man, Green Arrow and Green Lantern are each identified by a different color. Can you identify which hero is which color? Try writing down your guesses and click here to check your score. Good fun!

    Free Comic Book Day followup

This year's Free Comic Book Day has come and gone, but it made it's presence known with hordes of customers coming out to help celebrate the day. I saw a lot of new faces and plenty of familiar ones too. Thanks to everyone who participated, especially Alex Sheikman and Debbie Huey who came out to promote their comics and ended up getting caught up in the spirit of the day, handing out comics and mixing it up with the people. Thanks, guys!
