Apparently September 25th is National Comic Book Day. I've never even heard of such a holiday until another retailer said he heard about it on NPR today. He googled it and came up with this rather sketchy definition. If an entire messageboard full of comic shop owners has never heard of it, what chance does it have of permeating the collective conciousness of Joe and Jane Punchclock?
Starting now, National Comic Book Day will no longer wallow in obscurity. I vow to celebrate it every year from now on. So if you come in the store today and say "Happy National Comic Book Day", you'll get a free comic book!
